G1 or MyTouch G3?

Anyone want to which of these phones would be best? I have both now but need to send one back before they charge me for both! Thanks all.

Its a matter of preference.
I love the G1's Physical Keyboard, but the MyTouch has more memory, plus your MyTouch has the 3.5mm headphone jack.. i would kill for that, i hate using an adapter.

Personally, if i was in your situation, i would go with the MyTouch, but i am about the evolution, and as much as i love the G1, it is becoming an old piece of hardware.

Although it is you probably won't be doing any time soon, if ever, but with the extra memory in your MyTouch, Rooting opens up to more Roms that run smoother because of the internal memory, versus the virtual memory off a Memory card (BTW i only added this information for others that may be plagued with the same question)

again. go with your personal feeling on it. It is a personal decision. for personal preference.

I would go with the Mytouch. I have a g1 and its not as good as i would like it to be.

Reasons why;

My touch has HSDPA connection (alot faster than the g1)
Twice as much ROM memory as the G1
Like Dal said it has a 3.5mm Jack. (Lucky )
It comes with a 4gb Micro SD whereas the G1 has a 2gb
Has video calling
Better battery
Looks Better
Not to sure about this but can it receive the 2.1 update?? If so AWESOME

Apart from the above i dont see a difference, (Same amount of Ram and same processor speed)

Its a matter of preference but id go with the Mytouch.

I did end up sending back the G1 today. did LOVE the physical keyboard but you are all right, the trade offs,, the headphone jack.. the internal memory is a big bonus as the new mytouch has even more than the original did.. so yes, I packed up my G1 as much as I liked it and went with the sensible solution. Plus I got this awesome keypad app from this cool guy I know that makes the mytouch even easier to type on!

Plus I heard that because of the lack of internal memory in the G1 Google was no longer going to support new firmware for it so that was a biggie too!
